Fashion Fashion Everywhere

Ever watch television and flip through channels and find fashion? Of course. Lately, more and more channels are featuring hair styles, wardrobe tidbits, shoes, styles, handbags, and everything related to fashion.

It's never been so easy to learn about something than now. Whether it's the internet, tv, radio, or podcast you can hear about what's in style. But what if there's too much information? Too much can be just as harmful as not enough. What should I listen to and what should I ignore? Well, don't ingore anything, just remember that not everything relates to you, your wardrobe, your style, your budget, and your area.

Keep yourself focused and don't be afraid to try new things, just remember that fashion is everywhere, and it is up to you where to look for it.

The Queen

While we are sitting here watching the latest feature, The Queen, I am fascinated by the tension, the acting, and the costuming. The queen, played by Helen Mirren, surely has many outfits and wardrobes. I wonder where does the real queen shop for shoes, or hand bags for that matter? Does she have a personal shopper? Or maybe she does catalog shopping. Is she internet savvy?

Speaking of the internet, many of our new shoes, including some of fall of 2007 are already listed. True, some are not available until July, but we are accepting pre-orders. We've already judged what will be our best sellers from a few different designers. Of course, it is still up for debate, women are only thinking about sandals and summer.

Summer brings us more sandals and even more wild styles. We have quite a few more styles still arriving for summer, so don't discount our inventory so soon. Remember, you don't have to wear wild and savvy sandals to be in style. Just look at the Queen, with her proper dresses for every different function that arises. Sensible heels that speak of wisdom, class, and authority without frightening anyone. There are quite a few royal shoes in our inventory that would fit a queen, certainly a queen with a sensible budget and an eye for beauty.

Questions about our shoes or bags?

There are many shoes on our website, featuring many designers. The different type of shoes we carry vary, we're not all about high heels. Sometimes you may have questions about our shoes and wonder how high the heels are? Or is this just an evening shoe, or can I wear them with a summer dress?

Questions about colors, matching certain wardrobes, or usability. For instance, how much mileage will I get with those shoes? Can I wear these with jeans? Or is this style still in?

Remember, we are here for you. You don't have to feel you are alone when it comes to shopping for shoes or bags. Besides, who likes to shop alone? The more the merrier.

Getting Those Sandals Ready

While we are all busy getting ready for the summer; working on that tan, slimming down for that bathing suit, and packing away Winter or Spring garb, don't forget about shoes. Yes, shoes. After packing up those winter boots and Spring pumps, unveil those summer sandals. Try them on, are they splitting, or they falling apart? Maybe it's time for some new sandals.

Here at Cinderella's we'll bring you new styles at affordable prices. We have espadrilles with ankle ties, similar to Michael Kors that are flying out of our stores for under $50, while the designers are selling them for about $200. It's amazing what a name can do.

So whether you're into slides, wedges, or flats with thongs, sandals can be an easy and fun task to shop for. Remember, that those flip flops at the drug store won't last, and that beach shoes can just as fashionable as evening shoes, just without that three inch heel. We'll see you soon, in person or on the web at cinderellasnewyork.com

So you say you can't wear heels?

We get at least five women a day saying they can't wear heels. "Oh, in my young days, I used to," they chirp, as they longingly gaze at our selection of Pierre Dumas four inch high heels. Then they spot a pair of Amanda two inch shoes and ponder. "Even these will bother me."As I gaze down to there sneakers, or worse, crocs (shudder), I can't help but feel sad. Sad for them that they can't enjoy the satisfaction of wearing heels, feeling taller, more powerful, more sexier, more woman. Then I think about something. Why should I feel sad? I can't wear these heels either, but you don't see anyone sympathizing with me. I ask these flat shoe stompers why can't they wear these heels anymore. Their replies varies: surgeries, kids, and the dreaded, I have no where to go. Later about that subject though. If you say you can't wear heels I may call you a liar, or at least a chicken. I try to inspire them and ask them if they would at least try them on. I may get a blush, or a tiny sparkle from an eye, and if they say no I say to them, "Listen, if those girls on Dancing With the Stars can flip, turn, and do splits with four inch heels, you can certainly walk in two inch heels." After a short pause that is filled with angst and emotion they agree to try on those two inch heels, and love them. Sometimes they buy them, sometimes they don't. They announce that they may go for the three inch next time, and soon enough, ahh, well. Another woman who couldn't believe she can wear heels, and was actually afraid to just try them on. Go on, try those heels, those wrap around ankle sandals, those sexy stilletos that you wouldn't be caught dead in when going to church. You're here to have fun, you're hear to try on shoes. Who knows, you may even learn to live dangerously. Visit Cinderella's Shoes and Bags (http://www.cinderellasnewyork.com)

Bold Bright Colors In Women's Dress Sandals

More women are concerned about bright bold colors in footwear. "I don't have that color in my wardrobe", or "I can't match that" or even the dreaded "It's pretty, that's too wild for me."

Women have matched since they learned how to walk as a child, thanks to parents who dressed them in matching colors. Afterwards off to school in plain uniforms, and then work uniforms, i.e. nurses. Does anyone remember Garanimals?

What we forget about fashion is that it changes, constantly. Can you remember a Sunday church dress with matching shoes, handbag, and hat? Of course you've seen this and it does fit well and look great, on some people. What used to be in fashion decades ago is now dust in the wind, the rules do not apply anymore, and Spring will always bring bright colors, so ladies do dare to don those oranges, lime greens, and yellows (which are very hot right now). Don't be afraid to wear those bright bold colors, even if that's the only color in your wardrobe. For instance, black capris, white top, sexy red pumps; white pants, khaki top, green sandals; or embellished t-shirt, jeans, and orange slingbacks. Sounds great? Horrible? Unheard of.

Take a look in magazines, tv specials, and see what women are wearing. Then take a peek at your wardrobe. Does it have color? Is it bold enough? If not, time to accessorize! That's what shoes and handbags are for, to bring life back to your wardrobe and add spice to your personality.

If bold colors are not your thing, try muted earth greens, tans instead of bright yellow, and maroon instead of hot red. Or dare if you may, muted colors with gems or highlights of bright colors. One of our biggest sellers are sandals with a beaded bright turquoise thong.

Sunset Beach has been the biggest selling Sandal this year. It ties up with a removable fabric that can be used as a belt or scarf. For more incredible women's dress sandals visit our website or stop by our shop. Remember that you only live once, wearing bright footwear has never killed anyone, only raised a few eyebrows and turned a few heads of men. And the last time I checked, that's one thing women find that will never go out of style.

Women's Wedding Shoes - Over and Over

It is easy to believe that everything white and everthing pure is built around your wedding; your dress, which is pure and white, your veil, your tiara should outdo everything else and sprarkle all the way til kingdom come. Your wedding shoes should be the same ultra virginal white, shouldn't it not? Not neccesarily. It's become more of a fashion to wear silver or gold for wedding shoes. Two reasons why gold and silver are starting to appear; silver is very in vogue and gold looks great with a tan. The second reason is that these beautiful shoes can be worn more than just once--silver and gold shoes can be worn with most evening gowns.

Some shoes with a touch of glitz can be worn with jeans. Imagine a medium heel ankle strap in gold or silver for your wedding; then a week later taking them out of your closet and finishing your jeans ensemble with those shoes. Smart. Sexy. And practical.

If you do decide to go all white you can be like most brides out there and store away your shoes and hopefully never wear them again (along with your wedding shoes). But if you are daring you may try to don gold or silver wedding dress shoes only to have them re-appear whenever you choose. Fashion is about choice. Why be limited to wear shoes just once?
