Bringing Your Dresses In To Match

Just today we've had two understated women come to our store, searching for footwear that would match whatever fabric mayhem they brought with them. One with fair hair and a dazzling smile was all too pleased with the perfect match to her dress. A gold beaded ensemble, and her choice, agreeably, was a pair of heels from Nina.

Another, who recently took position at a nearby historic park was pleasantly surprised at her match; Amanda kitten heel Turkish Taffy to go with her classic but intricate skirt. I hope we see both women again in soon, I'm sure they'll come back. Being pleasant, offering beautiful shoes with a terrific price, not to mention advice to avoid a fashion disaster definitely respects another visit.

Now that prom season is ending, we are all to pleased with the successful results. Many girls have come in, quite confused and filled with hormones, have relieved their fashion anxiety with shoes and evening bags that matched their memorable gown. We have now, and always will, fulfill other customers wishes, quieted their nerves, by matching more dresses with more shoes. It doesn't matter if you're seventeen and feel like Cinderella, or forty four, and wish to make a dramatic entrance, we'll be here and make sure you won't be disappointed.

The Queen

While we are sitting here watching the latest feature, The Queen, I am fascinated by the tension, the acting, and the costuming. The queen, played by Helen Mirren, surely has many outfits and wardrobes. I wonder where does the real queen shop for shoes, or hand bags for that matter? Does she have a personal shopper? Or maybe she does catalog shopping. Is she internet savvy?

Speaking of the internet, many of our new shoes, including some of fall of 2007 are already listed. True, some are not available until July, but we are accepting pre-orders. We've already judged what will be our best sellers from a few different designers. Of course, it is still up for debate, women are only thinking about sandals and summer.

Summer brings us more sandals and even more wild styles. We have quite a few more styles still arriving for summer, so don't discount our inventory so soon. Remember, you don't have to wear wild and savvy sandals to be in style. Just look at the Queen, with her proper dresses for every different function that arises. Sensible heels that speak of wisdom, class, and authority without frightening anyone. There are quite a few royal shoes in our inventory that would fit a queen, certainly a queen with a sensible budget and an eye for beauty.

Questions about our shoes or bags?

There are many shoes on our website, featuring many designers. The different type of shoes we carry vary, we're not all about high heels. Sometimes you may have questions about our shoes and wonder how high the heels are? Or is this just an evening shoe, or can I wear them with a summer dress?

Questions about colors, matching certain wardrobes, or usability. For instance, how much mileage will I get with those shoes? Can I wear these with jeans? Or is this style still in?

Remember, we are here for you. You don't have to feel you are alone when it comes to shopping for shoes or bags. Besides, who likes to shop alone? The more the merrier.

So you say you can't wear heels?

We get at least five women a day saying they can't wear heels. "Oh, in my young days, I used to," they chirp, as they longingly gaze at our selection of Pierre Dumas four inch high heels. Then they spot a pair of Amanda two inch shoes and ponder. "Even these will bother me."As I gaze down to there sneakers, or worse, crocs (shudder), I can't help but feel sad. Sad for them that they can't enjoy the satisfaction of wearing heels, feeling taller, more powerful, more sexier, more woman. Then I think about something. Why should I feel sad? I can't wear these heels either, but you don't see anyone sympathizing with me. I ask these flat shoe stompers why can't they wear these heels anymore. Their replies varies: surgeries, kids, and the dreaded, I have no where to go. Later about that subject though. If you say you can't wear heels I may call you a liar, or at least a chicken. I try to inspire them and ask them if they would at least try them on. I may get a blush, or a tiny sparkle from an eye, and if they say no I say to them, "Listen, if those girls on Dancing With the Stars can flip, turn, and do splits with four inch heels, you can certainly walk in two inch heels." After a short pause that is filled with angst and emotion they agree to try on those two inch heels, and love them. Sometimes they buy them, sometimes they don't. They announce that they may go for the three inch next time, and soon enough, ahh, well. Another woman who couldn't believe she can wear heels, and was actually afraid to just try them on. Go on, try those heels, those wrap around ankle sandals, those sexy stilletos that you wouldn't be caught dead in when going to church. You're here to have fun, you're hear to try on shoes. Who knows, you may even learn to live dangerously. Visit Cinderella's Shoes and Bags (http://www.cinderellasnewyork.com)

Getting Ready for Prom - Prom Shoes for You

The rain is almost gone, and the flowers are budding, so it must be prom season. If you haven't picked your dress yet, get moving. Prom season is here, and girls are more fashion concious this year than ever. Whether you have satin dress, sequins, wild, or elegant, shoes no longer have to match. If you have have a question, you can always call us. We'll give you helpful advice, even if you are not in the market of buying anything.

Let's face it, there is a lot of pressure, but there has always been pressure. Don't think it's any worse for you than your parents. They struggled with chiffon and silk, while men fumbled their bow ties while smoothing their ruffles. One thing has never changed, elegance is will always be timeless.

For shoes to wear remember to keep it comfortable. No sense buying high heels to take them off because during the night they might be uncomfortable. And please, don't be the chosen few who dance without shoes and think that it's okay, you do have a choice, and the choice to be made is being comfortable. If you are however, comfortable in high heels, then go for it. Glamour and elegance does combine, and often with heels.

Low heels are becoming a great way to practice wearing heels, or an option for those who can't wear high heels. Maybe you can't walk in heels, or maybe you're 6 feet tall and don't want to tower over your boyfriend. There are plenty of stylish shoes out there with 2 inch heels or lower. This is a great way to keep the shoes on while dancing!

Whatever you choose this prom season remember to keep it fun, safe, and always fashion conscious.
